• Melissa Ferris, Director

    Bringing over 20 years of experience as a Division I coach at prestigious programs such as Rice, Wyoming, William and Mary, and Texas State, as well as a successful stint at Pfeiffer University Division III, Melissa brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our volleyball club. Throughout her coaching career, she has had the privilege of mentoring numerous All-Americans, shaping their athletic and personal development.


    In addition to her college coaching accomplishments, our Club Director has a decorated playing career, earning recognition as:

    • Pac-10 All-Decade Team member
    • Ranking 9th in school history in kills at the University of Arizona
    • Silver Medalist in the US Olympic Festival
    • Played professionally in Switzerland and the National Volleyball Association

  • Rick Lowder, Lay Pastor & Sunday School Director

    Rick finds joy in studying God's word and guiding others to do the same. His passion for spiritual growth and discipleship has led him to serve as the Adult Sunday School Director at North Albemarle Baptist Church.


    Beyond his ministerial role, Rick is also a respected business owner and an active board member of FCA Ultra Volleyball Club. Rick's commitment to serving others and sharing the love of Jesus is a testament to his unwavering faith.
